Pakistani batsman Umar Akmal has been suspended by Pakistan Cricket Board Anti Corruption Unit from taking any part in any form of Cricket with immediate effect.

Umar Akmal will not take part in Pakistan Super League 2020 which is starting form today. Umar Akmal was all set to represent Quetta Gladiators and Quetta Gladiators can now opt for replacement for Umar Akmal.

As no further details shared by PCB but is informed that Umar Akmal is suspended under article 4.7.1 of the PCB Anti Corruption Code. PCB will not make any further comments on this issue as this is an ongoing activity
Controversies are not new for Umar Akmal as he always made headlines due to controversies and acts which damage his reputation as a cricketer and person enormously. Umar Akmal was recently let go by PCB after a spat during PCB fitness test conducted few days earlier.
