The road is not smooth between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in recent times. Bangladesh not willing to play test match in Pakistan despite recent successful arrangement of Pakistan vs Sri Lanka in Pakistan.
With all the statements comings in and out form both cricketing bodies, a new setback in the relations is seen when announcement made earlier today that no Pakistan player will feature in Asia XI which will take over World XI in two T20 matches to be played in Bangladesh on birth centenary of ‘Bongobondhu’ Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,
Relation between Pakistan and India is also on sore state as tension between the two nations kept rising and as a result both teams have not faced each other in bilateral series since long.
Although there is no statement issued by PCB in this regard that whether they would have allowed Pakistan players in such an event if any offer would have come from BCB. It is also to be noted that Pakistan is currently the # 1 ranked side in ICC T20I rankings and with non presence of Pakistan side in Asian XI may raise few eyebrows.
Interestingly five players from India will compete in the matches and represent Asian XI. BCCI Chairman Sourav Ganguly will select the 5 players who represent India in Asian XI.
