Two times T20 World Cup winning captain of West Indies and current captain of Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi Darren Sammy will be awarded Pakistan’s highest civilian award and honorary citizenship on March 23 by president of Pakistan Mr. Arif Aliv as announcement made by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Darren Sammy is one of the most liked foreign cricketers that has played Pakistan Super League his involvement with Pakistan Cricket and fans made him a household name and he has great fan following in Pakistan which is increasing day by day.
Darren Sammy will be awarded Pakistan’s highest civilian award and honorary citizenship on his efforts and support he provided in bringing cricket back to Pakistan. He was one of the first PSL foreign cricketers who agreed to visit Pakistan if PSL matches to be held in Pakistan.
He also convinced fellow foreign cricketers to tour Pakistan for Pakistan Super League matches.
