Darren Sammy Steps Down, Wahab Riaz named new Peshawar Zalmi Captain
Big news just came up from Peshawar Zalmi dug out that Captain Darren Sammy has step down from its position with immediate effect and have been elevated as head coach cum player for Peshawar Zalmi for next 2 seasons of Pakistan Super League.

Fast bowler Wahab Riaz who stood as stand in captan for Darren Sammy in Peshawar Zalmi last match will be replacing Darren Sammy permanently. Whereas head coach Mohammad Akram will become team director of Peshawar Zalmi as well as bowling coach.
Interestingly Darren Sammy and Mohammad Akram both were appointed as captain and head coach since the inaugural edition of Pakistan Super League.
Darren Sammy was in news after his tweet but soon he made another tweet for clarification of good relations between him and Jawed Afridi (owner of Peshawar Zalmi).
It will be first time that Wahab Riaz will be leading a PSL franchise with full command. Such mid season changes have been done in the past in various tournaments but elevation of captain as head coach not seen previously.
