Pakistan Champions Cup Live Streaming: The Champions Cup 2024, Pakistan’s premier domestic one-day tournament, kicks off on September 12. Featuring five teams—Markhorse, Dolphins, Panthers, Stallions, and Lions—the competition will include 10 group stage matches before moving into the knockout rounds.

All matches of Pakistan Champions Cup 2024 will take place at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, with a 3:00 PM PKT (3:30 PM IST) start time. A standout fixture is the Lions vs Panthers clash on September 16. Pakistan Champions Cup 2024 will culminate with the final on September 29.

Champions One-Day Cup:

A new era in Pakistan’s domestic cricket This newly introduced tournament by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) aims to bridge the gap between domestic and international cricket, allowing the country’s top players to showcase their skills.

Key stars like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, and Shadab Khan will all be taking part, making it a highly competitive event. The tournament will feature five teams, each filled with Pakistan’s best talent, and is set to provide thrilling cricket action.

Tournament structure and format

The Champions One-Day Cup will follow a round-robin format during the league stage, with a total of 14 matches played at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. Five teams – Dolphins, Lions, Panthers, Stallions, and Wolves – will compete against each other once, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs.

After the 10 round-robin matches, the top two teams will face off in the Qualifier on September 24. The third and fourth-placed teams will battle in Eliminator 1 on September 25, followed by Eliminator 2, where the winner of Eliminator 1 takes on the Qualifier loser. The final is scheduled for September 29, where the tournament’s first-ever champion will be crowned.

The Eliminator 2 will be staged on September 27, followed by the final on September 29. The Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad will host all the games in the championship. Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lions), Saud Shakeel (Dolphins), Shadab Khan (Panthers), Mohammad Haris (Stallions), and Mohammad Rizwan (Markhors) are the five captains.

The league stage of the 50-over competition, the first of the three in the domestic calendar, is set to start on September 12. In a press release on September 11, the PCB confirmed that three of the five participating teams had also secured naming partners, meaning they are now the Nurpur Lions, Allied Bank Stallions, and UMT Markhors (formerly Wolves).

Several Pakistani stars will take part in the tournament. The five teams are led by Saud Shakeel, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Haris, and Mohammad Rizwan, with the likes of Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Shan Masood, Abdullah Shafique, Abbas Afridi, Aamir Jamal, and more set to take the field.

Champions One-Day Cup 2024 schedule

As per the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 schedule, each team will play the other four sides once in a single round-robin format. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs.

The top two teams in the standings will clash in Qualifier 1 for a place in the final. The third and fourth-placed teams will then clash in the Eliminator.

The winner of the Eliminator will face the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 for the other spot in the final. All Champions One-Day Cup 2024 matches will be played at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
